The Science Behind Tattoo and Pigmentation Removal

Say goodbye to unwanted ink and stubborn pigmentation with the power of two industry-leading devices: the Rohrer PicoLazer and Aerolase Neo Elite. The PicoLazer delivers ultra-short picosecond pulses of energy, shattering tattoo ink into tiny particles without causing thermal damage to the skin. This cutting-edge technology provides faster, more thorough tattoo removal than traditional nanosecond lasers, all with minimal discomfort and downtime. Whether it’s a vibrant, colorful design or a faded black tattoo, the PicoLazer tackles pigments with precision and safety.

The Aerolase Neo Elite provides a versatile approach to pigmentation issues, using advanced 650-microsecond laser technology to treat discoloration, sunspots, and pigmented lesions. Its uniquely gentle energy delivery makes it safe for all skin tones, reducing risks like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Together, these devices redefine tattoo and pigmentation removal, offering safer, more effective results for every client.

You’re Not Alone: The Story Behind Tattoo Regret

Did you know that almost 20% of adults with tattoos regret their ink? If you’re among them, you’re not alone. Tattoos are deeply personal, but our desires and styles often evolve, leaving us with designs that no longer feel like “us.” With 45 million Americans sporting at least one tattoo, it’s no wonder that tattoo removal is becoming increasingly common.

At Aesthetically Renewed, we make this process as seamless as possible. Our treatments are safe for all skin tones and types, reducing risks like burns or pigmentation issues often associated with older technologies. Whether you’re removing a tattoo for professional reasons or just reclaiming your skin, our team is here to guide you with care and expertise.

Clearing Doubts: Your Tattoo & Pigmentation Questions

Tattoo removal can cause mild discomfort, often compared to the feeling of a rubber band snapping against the skin. However, treatments with advanced lasers like the PicoLazer and Neo Elite are designed to minimize discomfort. We also offer numbing options to make your experience as comfortable as possible so you can focus on the results rather than the process.

When performed by trained professionals using advanced lasers, tattoo removal rarely leaves scars. The PicoLazer uses non-thermal technology to break down ink particles without damaging surrounding tissue. With proper aftercare and the use of modern lasers, the risk of scarring is minimal, leaving your skin smooth and clear.

Pigmentation removal results can be long-lasting, but maintaining them depends on your skin type and exposure to factors like sun damage. While treatments effectively target and reduce discoloration, protecting your skin with sunscreen and following a good skincare routine can help preserve your results. Our team will guide you on post-treatment care for the best outcomes.

At Aesthetically Renewed, we have the DESCRIBE Patch available during laser tattoo removal to enhance safety and comfort. This specialty patch is placed over the tattoo and is designed to absorb most of the heat from the laser, allowing for a more effective treatment.

How does it improve my treatment at Aesthetically Renewed?
Because the patch minimizes heat in the skin, your provider at Aesthetically Renewed can safely perform up to 4x more laser passes in a single session. More passes mean more ink is targeted each visit.

Will this help my tattoo fade faster?
Yes! With the additional passes the patch allows, many Aesthetically Renewed clients see quicker fading and can often shorten the time between treatments—from the usual 8 weeks down to about 6 weeks, depending on your skin type and tattoo.

Is there an extra cost for the DESCRIBE® Patch?
There is a small additional fee, but Aesthetically Renewed only charges the cost of the patch.

Is the DESCRIBE® Patch worth it?
For most Aesthetically Renewed patients, absolutely. It can reduce the total number of sessions needed, speed up fading, and improve comfort, making it a highly beneficial add-on for efficient tattoo removal.
